Body Attack L-Carnitine 2000 provides 2000 mg L-carnitine tartrate per serving. Tartrate is a tartaric acid, which is particularly well absorbed by the body and is therefore ideally suited for L-carnitine products.

L-carnitine from Body Attack can be a useful supplement for all persons who have a deficiency of L-carnitine in the body due to a diet, high physical exertion or illness. L-carnitine is an endogenous substance. The muscles are particularly rich in L-carnitine. Here, the greatest amount of carnitine is stored and also used up at the same time. The total daily requirement of carnitine cannot be endogenously synthesised by the body. Therefore, the body is dependent on the external supply of carnitine. Carnitine-rich foods are, e.g. meat and fish products and milk.

1. Worth knowing: What is L-carnitine?

L-carnitine is derived from the Latin word "Carne" and means meat. The vitamin-like nutrient primarily occurs in animal foods in large amounts. Thus, a low-meat diet provides less L-carnitine. We take an average of about 30 mg L-carnitine through the daily diet. A healthy person can synthesise L-carnitine from the two amino acids, lysine and methionine. The endogenous synthesis amounts to about 15 mg a day with uninterrupted energy metabolism. The body also needs iron, vitamin C, niacin, folic acid, vitamins B6 and B12 for the synthesis of L-carnitine. A deficiency of vitamins can slow down the synthesis of L-carnitine and energy metabolism.

On training days, take 4 capsules 45 minutes before training. On non-training days, take 2 capsules in the morning and in the evening before bed time with plenty of liquid (200ml).
